I picked up my first guitar in the early 90’s, right in the middle of the grunge and alternative explosion. Like a lot of players from that era, the instrument wasn’t just something I played: it became something I obsessed over. For the next two decades I worked on my own guitars, starting with string changes and cleanups, then moving into pickup swaps and setups.

In 2019 I built my first partscaster: a Telecaster clone with a pine body, Fender neck, and Fender hardware. The assembly was straightforward, but staining that body and putting it all together lit something up for me. I wanted to go further.

Today I build custom electric guitars, basses, and acoustic instruments out of Media, PA. My builds tend toward the experimental and unconventional, not reproductions of classic shapes, but instruments designed around the player holding them. Every commission starts with a real conversation about your influences, your playing style, and what you’ve never quite found in an off-the-shelf guitar.

What a commission looks like

Custom electric guitars and basses start at $2,400. Flattop acoustics start at $3,200. Archtop guitars start at $6,000. Each instrument is a collaboration. If you have a vision, I want to hear it!
